I’m Beth. I coach women to get measurably stronger. I programme twelve-week blocks of resistance work, two to four sessions a week, plus daily movement. I train that way myself.
In my own words
Revive is a recovery word. This is where it comes from.
I’ll never pretend I have all the answers when it comes to addiction because I don’t. I can only speak from my own experience.
I spent so long thinking I could control it. Telling myself I’d stop tomorrow. Thinking things weren’t that bad yet. And even when I desperately wanted to stop, wanting it and actually changing my life were two very different things.
For me, recovery wasn’t just about stopping using. I had to change so much around me too. People, places, routines, coping mechanisms and probably the hardest part, learning to actually sit with myself instead of constantly trying to escape myself.
It wasn’t a perfect moment where I decided to get sober and never looked back.
It was messy. I relapsed. I tried again again and again. Until eventually, trying again became my life.
And something I’ve learnt through my own recovery is just how much addiction affects the people who love you too. When you’re in it, you don’t always see the worry, the fear and the helplessness it creates around you.
Nobody could have chosen recovery for me. I had people who loved me, supported me and desperately wanted better for me, but ultimately I had to choose it for myself.
Recovery hasn’t given me a perfect life. It’s given me a life I’m actually present for.
And there is so so so so much life on the other side 🤍🤍
